HSE and supplier qualification
What procurement and HSE teams at turbine manufacturers and service providers need to qualify us as a subcontractor: how the work is made safe, which procedures we run and which documents we hand over.
Safer by design: nobody works at height
The usual cleaning method sends a technician up to the nacelle to abseil down the tower and the blades. We replace that with an industrial drone carrying a pressure-washing system, fed by a hose and flown from the ground. The highest-risk activity in the job, work at height, is removed rather than controlled.
Before any flight the turbine is stopped and secured under the site's own procedure. We do not enter the nacelle, touch components or operate the control system.
A documented HSE management system
Our health, safety and environment system has been documented since October 2026 and is reviewed every year, or after any incident or change of equipment, regulation or scope. It includes:
- HSE policy.
- Risk management procedure with a 4×4 probability and severity matrix, and a risk register with controls for every activity.
- Safe work method statement for drone cleaning, with wind limits, an exclusion zone and ground crew roles.
- Job safety analysis, last-minute risk assessment and toolbox talk forms used on site.
- Equipment, plant and maintenance procedure, equipment register and pre-use checklists.
- Training and competence procedure with a skills matrix.
- Chemical handling procedure and chemical inventory.
- Subcontractor control procedure and emergency response plan.
Field controls
- Toolbox talk at the start of each day and a last-minute risk assessment before each turbine.
- No flight above the wind limit set in the method statement.
- Exclusion zone around the work area, controlled by the ground crew.
- Pre-use checks on the drone, pressure unit and generator.
- Before-and-after photographs of every machine, delivered with the campaign report.
People and competence
Flights are carried out by remote pilots holding EASA certificates, under aviation permits handled with the Spanish authority (AESA), with occupational risk training for the activity and documented personal protective equipment. Every pilot's file is available for your contractor coordination platform.
GWO training does not apply to our scope: nobody climbs the tower, enters the nacelle or works at height. We provide a written statement explaining this for supplier questionnaires that ask for it.
Chemicals and environment
We use a single cleaning product, an alkaline degreaser listed in the NSF A1 category, alongside the generator fuel and drone batteries. It is handled under our chemical procedure and inventory, and we only use detergents that comply with Regulation (EC) No 648/2004.
Documents for supplier onboarding
We already work with supplier portals such as SAP Business Network (Ariba). For your onboarding we provide, among others:
- Company registration and tax ID.
- Tax and social security compliance certificates.
- Public liability insurance certificate.
- HSE policy, procedures, risk assessment and method statement.
- Pilot files: licences, training and PPE records.
Track record
We have already cleared contractor prequalification for a major Iberian utility, including its health and safety, insurance and documentation requirements, and delivered cleaning campaigns at Spanish wind farms in 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Do your pilots need GWO certificates?
No. GWO covers climbing, working at height and rescue in the turbine. Our team works on the ground, so it does not apply. We provide a written statement for questionnaires that ask for it.
Can you work under our permit-to-work and site rules?
Yes. We work under the site's permit-to-work and coordination of activities, and the turbine is stopped and secured by site personnel before each flight.
Which documents can you provide for supplier qualification?
Company and tax documents, compliance certificates, liability insurance, our HSE policy and procedures, the risk assessment and method statement for drone cleaning, and the file for every pilot.

Three data points are enough: number of turbines, location and rotor diameter. We come back with a fixed price per machine and scope within two working days.
