Drone wind turbine inspection

Document the real condition of the fleet before deciding where to intervene.

Before deciding which machines need cleaning, or simply to record the condition of a site on a given date, most O&M teams want a visual inspection that does not require rigging ropes.

Eolinet inspects blades, tower and nacelle by drone, from the ground, to the same safety standard as every other service. The deliverable is a photographic report per turbine, usable to prioritise interventions across a fleet.

What it is and what it is not

It is a visual inspection with photographic evidence. It shows surface condition, accumulated soiling and staining. A certified structural assessment needs a wider scope, and that is agreed before the campaign rather than after it.

Frequency

There is no single published manufacturer figure setting how often to inspect. Industry practice converges on at least one visual review per year, more often at coastal sites or where exposure to dust and salinity is high. Every site has its own logic, which is why we prefer to start from your fleet data before proposing a cadence.

Alongside cleaning

The most common combination is inspecting and cleaning in the same campaign. In cleaning work the visual inspection is built into the flight, so booking inspection separately makes sense mainly when documenting is the whole objective.

Questions about this service

Does the inspection detect structural damage such as cracks or delamination?

It is a visual inspection with photographic evidence. A certified structural assessment requires a wider scope, defined before the campaign.

Can inspection and cleaning be combined in the same visit?

Yes, and that is the most common arrangement. In cleaning services the visual inspection is included in the flight.

How often should turbines be inspected?

There is no single official figure. Industry practice is at least one visual review per year, and more frequently at coastal sites or where exposure to dust and salinity is high.
