Towers collect ground level soiling, ingrained grime and run-off staining. Cleaning them the traditional way means a technician climbing to the nacelle and abseiling down the shaft, section by section, with the time and the exposure that involves, especially on tall towers.
With a drone there is nothing to erect. The crew arrives, works from the ground and cleans the complete shaft in one day. We work on nacelles up to 100 metres, which covers most of the fleet installed in Spain.
Often booked on its own
Tower cleaning is the scope most frequently requested independently. Typically when the target is the base and the shaft, or when the site already has blade cleaning covered by another supplier and wants to complete the rest.
Weather and scheduling
The final date is confirmed the week before, based on the forecast. Wind is the deciding variable for drone work, exactly as it is for any work at height.
