Eolinet cleans complete wind turbines by drone in one day, with nobody working at height

The Seville-based company cleans complete wind turbines by drone from the ground for major utilities and turbine manufacturers, already operating at Spanish wind farms, and launches its technical blog and press page.

Mairena del Aljarafe (Seville, Spain), 8 October 2026. Eolinet Renovables, S.L., a Seville-based company that cleans and inspects wind turbines by drone, cleans complete wind turbines (blades, hub, tower and nacelle) for major utilities and turbine manufacturers, and is already operating at Spanish wind farms.

Eolinet's method replaces rope access, in which a technician abseils from the nacelle for 4-5 days per machine, with an industrial drone carrying a pressure-washing system, flown from the ground by licensed pilots. The result is one working day per turbine, 0 people working at height and machine downtime of hours rather than days. Eolinet handles aviation permits with the Spanish authority (AESA) and public liability insurance, and delivers before-and-after photographic evidence of every machine.

"The drone does not change the cleaning, it changes the arithmetic you have to do to approve it," says Ignacio López Martín, co-founder of Eolinet. "When cleaning means stopping a machine for the best part of a week and hanging a person off it, it gets deferred. When it is one day and nobody climbs, it gets done."

Spain closed 2024 with 22.486 wind turbines across 1.416 wind farms, according to the 2025 yearbook of the Spanish Wind Energy Association. Eolinet operates at wind farms across Spain, on nacelles up to 100 metres, with a minimum order of 4 turbines per campaign, and assesses campaigns in Portugal and the rest of Europe case by case.

The company publishes a technical blog for wind O&M teams at www.eolinet.com, together with a press page with material for journalists.
